Miss John Dial, Jenelle Fraser, was crowned Ms. Tobago Heritage Personality 2015 on Friday July 17, 2015 at the Cyd Gray Sporting Complex.
The 19 year-old was a clear crowd favourite as she exuded poise, grace and talent to emerge the winner over the other ten cultural ambassadors who ably represented their communities. Fraser also copped the special titles of Best Portrayal of Gowns and Best Talent.
“It is really an honour to have won this title but even more for the opportunity to gain new experiences. This competition affords young girls the chance to grow and come out their comfort zones. Before entering this competition I didn’t act, dance or anything like that. This just shows that the sky is the limit.” Fraser said.
Miss Pembroke, Monique Mendoza and Miss Carnbee/Mt Pleasant, Shenell Felix were named 1st Runner Up and 2nd Runner Up respectively.
The 2015 presentation titled “Recognition: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” set the foundation for the lessons in dance, dramatic monologues and folk songs, that kept the packed audience entranced and educated by Tobago’s cultural heritage.
The special titles of Ms Congeniality was won by Ms Les Coteaux, Ion-Lee Farmer; Ms Photogenic was won by Ms Mt St George, Chantal Romeo; People’s Choice Awards was copped by Ms Youth Quake, Aniecia Baptiste and the Best Designer award went to Sharon Phillips.
